TEACHING 8000 STUDENTS ABOUT
HUMAN RIGHTS

The school year has begun and our project, ASK WHY? Docs, is back in Danish cinemas. 8000 students aged 13 to 17 from all parts of Denmark are going to see three human rights-focused documentary films during the school year. According to UNICEF findings, 55% of Danish youth knows little to nothing about human rights. ASK WHY? Docs enlightens students, by moving the classroom in to the cinema. Each film we show is followed by a Q&A with a special guest, whose story is directly related to the topic of the film. This involves the students directly with the films themes and lets them reflect and ask questions immediately after watching a film. We are currently working to expand this project outside of Denmark. Read more about the project here.

The End of the Game

David Graham Scott

The End of the Game is a compelling character study of a bizarre eccentric undertaking his last big game hunt in Africa. A committed vegan, David follows 73-year-old colonial relic Guy Wallace to South Africa as he fulfills a lifelong ambition to bag a cape buffalo. It’s Guy’s last chance to relive his glory days and finally lay down his guns. The oddball relationship between David and Guy is the central drive of the film, as the director explores the ethics of big game hunting and questions his own animal rights stance when lured in by the thrill of the hunt.
