The Kremlins propaganda budget has doubled since Russias invasion of Ukraine, and once liberal universities have become political mouthpieces. Former Professor of International Law at Moscow Unversity Gleb Bogush gives us an insight into the long term impact of Russian propaganda. He is joined by Morten Runge, host of the popular DR-podcast Moskva-Kontoret, who will help us to understand how the Russian propaganda machine works - from Telegram to academic infiltration.

An unfiltered conversation with documentary mogul Mette Hoffmann Meyer

Spearheading the documentary film industry for years, she co-founded the popular "Dokumania" series on DR and has worked on most of the award winning films produced in Denmark. As the CEO of the THE WHY Foundation, her focus is providing human rights focused documentaries to all corners of the world. Drawing on 30 years of experience she will speak frankly and openly about the power of story telling, the changing landscape of the industry with anecdotes from the heyday of Flow TV.

Is there hope for the girls and women of Afghanistan?

On the anniversary of the Taliban’s shut-down of education for girls, Cavling-winner Nagieb Khaja (Taliban Land) and Afghan-based journalist Nanna Muus Steffensen will reflect on whether stories need to be hopeful to be heard. Join them for a discussion guided by clips from ‘The Noble Guardian’ by Anna Coren, a documentary focused on the work of Afghan women’s rights activist and Nobel Prize-nominee, Mahbouba Seraj.
